Be a Natural Beauty with Jojoba Oil

Posted by Ada Hersko on September 10, 2012 0 Comments

The Jojoba plant (Simmondsia chinenis) is native to Northern Mexico and America. Jojoba oil is extracted from the seeds of the plant which has a golden colour. The processed variety is clear in colour.

Jojoba oil is not so much oil but more of a wax ester, it is very similar to sebum which is the natural oil found in human skin. Sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands in your skin and provides a protective layer.

Jojoba oil provides so many benefits to your skin

It contains tocopherols which make up vitamin E. Vitamin E is essential in protecting your skin cells from ultra violet light, pollution and other elements that produce cell damaging free radicals. Vitamin E regulates vitamin A in your body, which is important for healthy and radiant skin.

It is also an antioxidant which can help protect your skin from free radicals; these can contribute to many chronic diseases including cancer.

Jojoba oil is completely safe to use as its non-toxic. Unlike other oils it won’t clog your pores and cause any sudden flare-ups associated with problem skin; in fact, it is the main ingredient that is found in Lavilin Body Serum - Skin Soother. This natural skin care product Is fragrance free, and ideal as a massage or bath oil, as it hydrates, lubricates and softens your skin.

Jojoba oil can be used as a body lotion as the oil disappears directly into the skin when applied and doesn’t leave any greasy feeling, only a smooth and soft feeling.

Lavilin Body Serum - Skin Soother

  • Enriched with anti-oxidants - prevents skin aging.
  • Improves skin appearance regarding hyper-pigmentation and wrinkles.
  • Clinically tested on dozens of women suffering from dry skin caused by age and over exposure to the sun.
  • Application after bath enhances the moistening effect and allows optimal penetration of serum.
  • Excellent for hair and scalp.

Lavilin Foot Repair Emulsion Review

Posted by Ada Hersko on August 16, 2012 0 Comments

My feet look and feel a lot better. I will definitely continue using this product! - Lavilin Foot Repair Emulsion Review featured on -

Heels rough as sandpaper? You’re not alone. Summer’s hard on your skin and when you’re padding around pool decks and beaches wearing sandals (or going barefoot), it can cause rough patches and callouses on even the most pedicured feet.

Enter Lavilin Foot Repair Emulsion. Formulated with skin-softening and exfoliating ingredients like glycolic acid, urea, salicylic acid, lactic acid and more, Lavilin Foot Repair Emulsion promises to heal rough, cracked skin within 7 days.

Surprising results within 7 days! Lavilin Foot Repair Emulsion actively removes hard, dry skin. It supports cell regeneration and helps repair cracks and fissures.

Based on Pine Sylvestris Extract, a natural therapeutic ingredient
Exfoliates, disinfects, hydrates and nourishes
Prevents foot irritations with long-lasting results
Excellent for Diabetics

Deionized Water, Glycerin, Urea, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Pinus Sylvestris Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit E), Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Lactose, Milk Protein, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Arachidonic Acid, Linoleic Acid, Linolenic Acid, Polysorbate 20.

To begin with, I really like the idea of roll on applicator for this product which makes it very easy to use. The directions suggest to apply on clean dry feet and it can be used twice to three times daily. The gel formula applies easily with a slight cooling sensation that feels good. It has a light herbal scent that dissipates soon after application. The only negative is that it takes about 5 -10 minutes to absorb and dry completely which is mainly the reason I have only been using it once at night time.

Before we talk about the results, let me first tell you that although not severely dry and cracked, my feet were in pretty rough condition before I started using the Foot repair emulsion. However, I noticed a difference only after 2 days of use and now that I have used this gel for almost a week now, my feet look and feel a lot better. I will definitely continue using this product!

Bottom Line – Lavilin Foot Repair Emulsion really is an effective treatment for dry, cracked foot soles. As you gear up to spend more time indoors, this skin-softening natural formula can be really beneficial to buff away dry skin and help hydrate and retain moisture in new cell layers.

Lavilin Foot Repair Emulsion retails for $18.39. Available at

Our Lavilin Foot Deodorant has been featured on "Got the Knack" -

The temperatures lately have been crazy. Last week, I walked to the library which is two blocks away, and I was s-o-a-k-e-d. This from a girl that rarely perspires.

We're dealing with a whole new kind of world now, so even if you're rarely break a sweat, this summer's probably going to make that a thing of the past. So you want to be prepared, but you don't want to rely on harsh, harmful chemicals to keep you fresh and dry. That's why finding Lavilin is such a thrill - you'll be able to get through this sweltering summer with dignity and grace.

Their deodorants not only neutralize "perspiration odour" without resorting to using chemicals, 1 application works for 1 week. Yeah, that's right - 1 application and you're good to go for 6 days. It will even work after you've showered, swum, run, whatever - it just keeps going. And they recommend putting it on before bed of all things.

You can use them even if you've got sensitive skin, as it's free of aluminum salts (no more clogged pores), alcohol, parabens, phthalates, BHT, and petrolatum.

I've been using the lovely lightly, fresh-scented Lavilin Roll-On Deodorant, which is fantastic - it has worked despite the intense heat waves. This is amazing. And to not worry about applying it every day is a game changer.

And we've all had summer shoes that cause your feet to sweat. Gross, right? Well, not anymore, thanks to incredible Foot Deodorant Cream (pictured above). This amazing white cream used natural ingredients such as Ricinus castor seed oil, carnauba wax, zinc oxide, potato starch and flower extracts to keep your feet dry and sweet smelling, no matter what your footwear or the temperatures outside. And it comes in the most amazing container, so don't hide it - put it right there on your dresser or bedside table. It's too pretty to keep tucked away.

Speaking of feet, mine are so rough, cracked dry and callused from toe to heel. 'Tis the season to rock a bunch of different shoes all of a sudden and my feet are a mess because of it. Normal creams haven't done a thing, but the instant I applied Lavilin's Foot Repair Emulsion, my feet look a thousand percent better (it can't help with my crooked toes, but my skin is incredibly soft and supple - like brand new). Good lord, this is amazing stuff. And just imagine what a difference it will make come winter....

Lavilin's Leg Softening Cream isn't just for your pooped out tootsies, but for the entire leg. It's incredibly refreshing and moisturizing (organic pine and jojoba oils, vitamins A & E, etc.) and energizes your tired limbs. I could feel such a difference after I put it on. My legs have been incredibly achy these last few months and suddenly they feel like new. How's that for an instant improvement?

Be sure to check out their other great skin & body products as well.

Lavilin's changed my skin completely. In an instant. Despite the heat. Shop now and have the driest, freshest summer of your life.
